vaio update does not recognise my vaio

When I try to run vaio update I get the message vaio update does not recognise my vaio. The Laptop is registered and has the correct model and serial numbers.

I just got an email from sony saying their servers are down, so this should be sorted soon:

I apologize for the inconvenience that this issue might have caused.

Please be informed that you are totally correct unfortunately our servers are down for the moment causing such hassle but our engineers are aware of the product and they are working on it and hopefully soon issue will be resolved, as from your end there ain’t much to do but to wait for the issue to be resolved.

VAIO in warranty: 0870 240 2408
 
VAIO out of warranty: 0905 0310006 (35p/min plus network charges)

Please can you confirm your Vaio model and that you are using the originally installed operating system.

You can also check in the BIOS that the model type is also correct there.  To open the BIOS screens, tap F2 repeatedly during boot when you see the first Vaio Logo screen.

The model is VPCEB4JOE and it is vaio version 5 installed

I can confirm that my model number is VPCF22M1E/B.

I have had this model for about 4 months and had not encountered this problem before.I am using the originally installed operating system.

Your help is appreciated.

Are you having trouble downloading drivers?

If so can you tell us what model Vaio you have or what the problem is?
