Why is the orange light constantly flashing - only 10 days old ?

All working OK.

You don't mention what model vaio you or if you are using your vaio whilst connected to AC power or running off the battery..:smileyconfused:

The battery light can blink to indicate that the battery is charging (usually double blink) or that the battery is running low.

hI ..it is a VPCJ11M1E all in one PC, permanently running on the mains - which is why I can't understand why the battery light should be flashing all the time ) I expected it to stop after 24 hours max.

Any ideas welcome....perhaps I should unplug from the mains ?

Many thanks - I now know it's not the battery light but the Disc Drive !.:smileysilly:...still no idea why it's flashing but as everything is functioning OK it's just a minor annoyance.

PS. Your name intrigued me, so I looked it up, fascinating - all those little grey cells, you learn something every day as they say.

It's normal for the HDD light to blink when your Vaio is on & this will vary depending on what you are doing on your Vaio..:smileywink:
