My girlfriend threw a book at the laptop yesterday and the screen is now completely knackered.

How much is a new screen?
Where do I get this done asap?

As per your advice the girlfriend has been kicked out and is not allowed back until she pays for the screen.
I will also recommend an anger management course!

Where can I get a replacement screen?

hmm i guess you can easily get one and cheaper too in asia esp. south east asia... had you check the thai vaio or malaysia vaio?

Replacement screen and lid has been ordered at Sony Bangkok.

Total cost 25,000 baht or about £337, I reckon it would be alot more expensive in the UK due to the labour costs.

For anyone who thought the damage was incurred due to surfing for porn....................Dont judge me by your own standards!

Thats a bloody good price though, here you would pay double.
