VGC-V2S Network neighbourhood

Hello,

i've just bought a VGC-V2S and i'm pretty happy with it.

There's something i do not understand : in the network neighbourhood i've got my internet connection, the WiFi card, the ethernet card and also something i do not understand : a 1394#2 network system always connected, what's this ?

1394 is the connection to video recorders and hard disks (iLink or the more common name FireWire)

For networking it used to connect 2 computers directly to each other for very fast transfers.

But the cables are a bit expensive (very expensive compared to LAN cables)

Nearly 6x more expensive.
