How to activate Bitlocker on Vaio SR31m with Win 7

I understand my vaio model does not have TPM so have to use USB thumb drive to store encryption key to activate bitlocker. However each time I run through encryption wizard,  including generating encryption key on thumb drive - vaio is not picking up encryption key prior to starting drive encryption?

Hi Zliaqat and welcome.

I'm not sure what you have tried.  Without TPM the Vaio will be unable to store the encryption key in the TPM Module and will require additional authentication at startup.  Have you checked the box to allow Bitlocker on a non-TPM system?
