Hi!
I recently bought a new Vaio all in one complete with Windows 7 x64 bit. It came with Chrome as the default browser. Being an Internet Explorer user I changed the default setting to Internet Explorer (IE8). I now have two versions of IE8 running - a 32 bit and a 64 bit version. The 64 bit version opens smoothly, works quickly but doesn't support Flash so has some limitations. The 32 bit version always opens the Windows User Account Control and asks permission to run which is very annoying. I have searched the Windows support forum and also asked for help there. No-one has been able to provide a solution. It occurs to me that there is something in the Sony software that is causing the problem and wiondered if anyone has a solution.
Thanks, Nick
I'm afraid I do not have a solution but I have just bought a VAIO and have exactly the same problem.
Try to download & install IE 9.
it wil set it self default browser
