Can I upgrade my E series Vaio Memory modules?

Hello,

I've recently purchased an 15'' E-series Sony Vaio with 4GB RAM ('VPCEB3X5E'). I was wondering if I can upgrade it to 8GB of RAM. I just want to confirm that it can be upgraded and which type of modules I need.

There are no specifications for your model as it is a custom build.  The custom builds are offered with up to 6GB of PC3-8500 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM.

However, the E-Series in general will support up to 8GB of PC3-8500 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM.

hi, i'm looking for an answer too, i'd like to know if it's possible to use pc3-10600 modules altough pc3-8500, did u had any answers?
