Backup stops at 50%

It does sound like one of the chosen categories is not completing and that is why the backup does not complete.

Could you please try and make a new backup with only with chosen category at once? For example, uncheck everything apart from Settings and see if that works and then make a new backup and chose something else and so forth, so we can see which category is the one that makes the backup stop at 50%.

Hi, I found this topic because I've the same problem. I did as you suggested. I made backup copy step by step for every category eg settings, massages etc and only one category is not working and stoping at 50% it's applications . Any ideas how can fix it or how can I make a backup copy for my applications?

Hi @Keisan, welcome to our forum!

You can try creating the backup with Xperia Companion program and a computer. The program is available both for Windows and MacOS, however in the Xperia Companion program it's not called applications, the same information is allocated to the "Other" category instead.

Start the program as you would normally do and click on "Backup" and follow the on-screen instructions. When you are at the part where you can choose which data should be included in the backup, click on "My data" and uncheck everything apart from "Other" and proceed with the backup.

Does the backup still stop at a certain percentage using this program as well? If it does, it does sound that some of the data in one or more of your installed applications is the cause of this.
