Shrill dialogue on most voices on Sony Bravia tv

Does any Sony Bravia owners have a problem with the sound of dialogue on their sets.I find that many voices sound shrill and high pitched and very annoying to listen to.It’s not that I can’t hear it,just too high pitched for comfort.I have had my tv for quite a long time, but only recently find this problem.Hope it’s not my hearing, but don’t think it is.Have no trouble with ordinary conversation.Megan4

Hi Megan4,

Have you tried to reset sound settings? Maybe something was changed by accident? You can do that by going to Settings - Sound - Reset.

Hi again Megan4

If the TV always sounded like that, I don't think it can be considered to be faulty. But if it only started to happen after a certain point, then it can be useful to think back about things that may have changed, for example, if you are playing content through an external device and you change it, the newer one may sound different, or changing where the TV is by moving it from one room to another or changing the space around it as this affects the ambient sound of the whole room.

If none of the above is applicable, and the TV doesn't sound the same out of the blue, I think this can be a fault.
