KD-43XF8796 - internet connection issues

Can anyone help me with this. I have a KD-43XF8796, it is connected with a cable to the internet. Netflix works fine using the TV app, every other app displays a no internet connection message. Prime, Disney or iPlayer do not work. Yet the internet connection is there, Netflix works. If I go into the settings, it says connected to LAN. But other than Netflix nothing works.

Check date/time on your tv if they appear correct

Thanks Rooobb I will check this when I get home tonight. Why would this matter though? Netflix works...in fact the TV did an update, not something that would be possible without the internet working. I find this really confusing.

Correct data/time influences the way Google validate the connection, for some reason Netflix seems to override this control. Check also if your tv is up to date, since as far as I remember this issue was also addressed via firmware

It seems to be a date & time issue as @rooobb says. If it's incorrect, go to Settings - Device Preferences - Date & Time - Automatic Date & Time - Use Network Time.
