Clicking noise in my new WH-1000XM3 headphones

Hi,

 I am facing a clicking noise often when ever I use my headphones. I have even tried to use that with power off. Still I hear the noise. It is so annoying to listen to music with that noise. Please let me know how to rectify this.

Hi @r_a_n_i ,

I have already updated the latest software version but still it is not resolved. But I believe the issue is not related to software as I face this issue even when the power is turned off. If my head is idle, I don’t get any noise. But if I move my head just a little or while I walk, I hear this noise so often.

Do you have any option to test the Headphones with an other music player?

Yes, I have tried connecting to other devices and still facing the same issue. Like I said, I am hearing the clicking noise even when the power is turned off. Even a slight movement triggers the noise regardless of whether the device is connected or not.

in this case, please get in touch with the support team, I think your device should be checked.

Hi, Like you suggested, I sent them for repair. Later when I received the device back, I got a response from the Sony Authorised Service Center explaining “What is noise Cancellation and how it works”. The conclusion from them was the noise which I hear in the headphone is normal. 

Does Sony authorised Service Center think that customers are dumb to differentiate an external noise and a noise generated by the headphone?

Is ist possible, that the noise comes from the one of the Joints?

In this thread they recommend a tiny dose of silicone spray.
