tried all the usual fixes. help
Also happened to me today. The keyboard seemed to fix itself, but not the touchpad.
I use a VGN-FS215S upgraded to Windows 7. Everything was working fine until this morning...
Tried the usual updates etc
You don't give us many clues but my guess is that you have a hardware problem and need to contact Vaio Support to arrange a repair - a cable has probably disconnected.
They will probably ask you to carry out a full System Recovery back to factory settings to make sure the problem is not a software glitch but you cannot do this if you have no keyboard input.
You can try tapping F2 during startup - when you see the Vaio Logo - and see if the keyboard is being recognised before Windows starts If the BIOS screen appears then you can assume it is a Windows Driver issue.
Thanks all
we didn't give many clues because we didnt have any clues to work with.:smileyconfused: one minute it works the next minute not.
Sony did ask us to do a system recovery but hasn't made any difference.
would't be happy with repair as it is only three months old.
