Sony vaio PCG-7183M crashes on internet

Hi,

my Sony vaio PCG-7183M crashes out of internet explorer every time i play video, ie youtube. Ive run vaio recovery and video test 1 failed. Ive also restored back to factory settings and still the same.

seems to be somthing wrong with the graphic card, is the replacable?

any advice would be most appricated.

No - the graphics chip is part of the motherboard and to change the chip means changing the motherboard.  Expensive!

Does this only happen in Internet Explorer?  A failure of the graphics chip would give display problems across the board.  What version of IE do you have? Try opening IE from the desktop by right-clicking on it and choosing 'Start Without Add-Ons'.  Does IE still crash?

So I can tell which graphics chip you have, please check for the correct model as you are giving an invalid model.  The correct model will be shown on the screen surround and will be something like VGN-NW24S

Have you installed ALL Microsoft and Vaio Updates for your model?  What version of Flash Player do you have installed?
