Hi there.
I have recently upgraded my SVS1511V9ES HDD to a Samsung SSD but there seems to be no SATA III support, therefore no maximum disk performance can be utilized.
Is there something I am missing, cuase as I know SATA III should be supported on S models.
Thank you in advance.
Kardasaki.
Hi Kardasaki and welcome.
We have had this question a few times in the past - have a look at this question from August 2012: -

My VPCSB1A9E/B which was sold with SSD installed originally had a SATA 3 controller but a Sony released BIOS update has removed this feature and it now only has a SATA 2 controller and only supports SATA 2 speeds. As far as I know, ALL S-Series Vaios after this date have been sold with only a SATA 2 controller.
Where have you seen that SATA 3 is supported by the S-Series?
DO you mean that SONY does not support SATA 3 on S-series?
