Measuring temp ~ k series

hey i have a sony vaio pcg - k115m

id really find it useful if i could somehow measure the temp of the system, or cpu using software..

on my desktop, im running `motheboard monitor` which provides a great set of stats relatiing to the motherboard, inc cpu temp!

however, this useful program does not support the k-series motherboard (or about 90% of any other vaio motherboards)

anyone know of any other programs to display temp?

i tried searching the bios but i found it extremely limited and it basically displays very little info

thanks in advance,

Nick

so now we can all measure temps, can we do some comparissons..?

My vaio pcg - k115m has an idle temp of 43 degrees,

during intense use, the temp can rise to a maximum of 60 degrees

With my ingenious cooling techniques, ie 2 large fans, one on the left hand side and one at the back..(Standard big old fans)

ive cooled its idle temp to 31 degress

im still thinking of other ways...

how does this compare to u guys?

The K115 is in for repair with VAIO-Link, so we'll have to wait and see.

We got a new GRT916 on Friday:smileycool:

Good idea, I will ask my colleague for some benchmark figures next week.

My PGC-FR315 (standard 2.6ghz celeron) runs at 48 degrees idle, though I only installed MobileMeter about 30 mins ago and today has been an incredibly warm day, so I'll work out the average over the next few days.
