Hi Sony,
Iam considiring buying a Sony VAIO VPC-F23S1E, but have some questions about it.
Question 1:
-I see that beside of the NVIDIA GT 540M the VAIO VPC-F23S1E has also an integrated Intel videocard, how does the switching work between those two?
Question 2:
-Does the Sony VAIO VPC-F23S1E has NVIDIA's Optimus technology?
Question 3:
-Does the Sony VAIO VPC-F23S1E has "Dynamic Hybrid Graphics System" technology?
Regards,
Rick
Hi Rick,
I can't find the VPCF23S1E on the Sony website. You will find the full specifications here for the VPCF23Z1E: -
http://www.sony.co.uk/product/vn-f-series/vpcf23z1e
Here is the manual for the VPCF23S1E: -

As far as I can see, the 3D F-Series Vaios do not have switchable graphics. It looks like the nVidia GT 540M is the only graphics adapter available to the system.
Presumably the onboard Intel graphics in the Sandy Bridge CPU are permanently disabled or not present and cannot be used.
2D to 3D switching is available at the touch of a button.
I would phone the Sony sales telephone line to confirm.
