My PCV-F11M has totally died - no sign of life whatsoever when switched on though power is going in to the PC. Is there a fuse on either the PSU or the motherboard and how do I get the rear cover off to access these components?

You are quoting an invalid Vaio model type - I am guessing you have a VGC-V Series (V2M/V2S/V3S) all-in-one desktop.
Exinferis posted this guide to disassembly some time ago - it is the only one as far as I know: -

If it is the PSU, Vaio Support may be your best bet for a relacement as they sometimes keep old stock and may sell you one - unfortunately you will need to use the out-of-warranty premium phone line 0905 0310006.
