Approx virtual memory dropped

I had 4 GB ram on my Sony Vaio and after upgrading to 8GB of ram the virtual memory dropped in dxdiag from 2700 MB to 681 MB , is there any problem ? my laptop is

Sony Vaio VPC-EB4Z1E/BQ with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1GB.

I think the answer is a Windows bug , http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2026022 .
