Is it possible to get an Australian purchased KDL40V4000 to tune in to UK digital

I have just come back from Oz with a KDL40V4000 purchased while I was there.

I am using it with a UK purchased Humax PVR via RCA composite video but would like to be able to tune it in without using a separate box.

I have tried factory reset but it just offers me the Oz states.

Is there a way of changing the country?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Hello,

          I know on my European version I can only select European countries (not Australian I'm afraid).

We do however have the possibility to leave the country blank ("-").

If I do this and then re-auto start up in settings menu - I get the channels, but they are not in the correct order (CBBC on CH1, Music 4 on Ch2).

If you cannot leave the country blank in your case then it looks like the software will not allow tuning outside Australia.

If it is not possible, it may be worth checking with a repair agent but they will possibly charge you.

Unfortunately I dont get a country selection opportunity even from a factory reset. It goes straight to select State (NSW, Victoria etc)
