Bravia NX 703 switches off while playing Sony BDP S780 Blu ray player

When i play Blu ray movies on my Sony BDP S780 Blu ray player connected to Bravia NX 703, my television switches off for a few seconds (3 to 5 seconds). Then the Television resumes the movie.

At the same time, the blu ray player is functioning normally. I would miss about 3 scenes of the movie due to the switch off.

This happens about 10 to 12 times during a movie.

I wonder whether it is due to power saving settings on my Bravia NX 703.

Any help is immensely appreciated.

We had an kdl-40nx703 that was fine for a about 3 weeks and then started switching itself off then on again, this was with no other equipment connected, luckely M&S changed it for a different model, so it maybe set specific and not related to your blue ray player, unless of course that is the only time it happens..

it may be something in the Eco settings thats turning the picture off (presence sensor or such like) if you have one turn it off, theres a few Eco modes in there including light sensor, i turn them all off.
