Xperia Active touchscreen problem

Hi all,

Since I update my Xperia Active from FW 4.0.1.A.0.284 to FW 4.0.2.A.0.42 ,I had many problem with my touch screen.

The problem that i had is.

1,I often loosing track of my touch,just like bellow xperia mini user problem

2.Sometimes the touch actualy not respon at all when USB conneting to Computer or charger.Like this problem

Question..

can it will be fix if i downgrade my FW to build number 4.0.1.A.0.284 again just like i first buy it?.

And,if yes,when i can download FW 4.0.1.A.0.284 for my Xperia Active?

I now use FW 4.0.2.A.0.62 but this problem still exist on my phone.

I'm affraid if i have to change my screen with new screen.Because its take too long long time on my country,maybe about 3,5 month and its also too expensive.

Maybe anyone here just have same problem with Xperia Active can help me how to solve this problem??

Hi, after reading....

1) this problem was not on 4.0.1.A.0.284

2) it occured after upgrading to 4.0.2.A.0.42 and didn't resolve even after further upgrading to 4.0.2.A.0.62

One question
Q- did you upgrade from 0.42 to 0.62 ota ( through mobile itself) ?? or used pc companion ?

if ota then repair your software again ( remember to backup)

Update/Repair your phone via PCC OR SUS

PCC (PC COMPANION) – Repair your software with this .First do the setup without connecting your mobile to pc.(only connect when you are asked to).

Do it as follow >> PCC > SUPPORT ZONE> SOFTWARE UPDATE> REPAIR SOFTWARE (written with blue)

I was Update it with  SUS.

And i just upgrade it from 042 to 062 for couple minutes ago.

And this problem not fix yet.

How must i do??

Hi, I have the same exact problem, the same part of the screen does this. I tried repairing but when I repair it says that the server does not have my software or something like that. Is it becuase I have an unlocked bootloader? I relocked it but i dont know if it would work even if I relock it.

PC Companion and SUS doesn't work if bootloader is unlocked.

But if you have relocked it then use SUS to repair

SUS ( Sony Update Service)  ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions

I tried with both programs and PCC say that there is no software available for my phone

and SUS that my phone is already updated. I also tried on two different computers.

Nope, I saw a printscreen of what SUS is supposed to say, that it says its up to date and under that line to click if you want to repair your phone, but mine does not show that sentence about repairing your phone. I'm in vacations in Brazil where xperia active is not sold, I'm going to wait to see if in Argentina I can repair it (I've repaired my phone in Argentina before). Its the only reason I can see why it wouldn't work here.

On the xperia moble site it doesn't list xperia active as a phone so maybe the software isn't available here in Brazil.:smileyconfused:
