Hi,

I was trying to update my X10 for pinch zoom It says certification error and the updates getting disconnect. I checked my system firewall and my modem firewall too everything is perfect. And I tried with my friend's machine there too I am getting same error.

I contacted Sony Ericsson customer care regarding this, they replied go and update ur phone in service center. Too bad they didnt tell me why I was not able to update my phone.

Please help.

you probably don't have the latest firmware

and yes I am aware its for X10a and you have X10i, it WONT make any difference, you WONT lose 3G or H on your phone (I'd test myself)

install it

inside there will be 5 folders

Firmwares

Loaders

X10Flasher_lib

put X10a-2_1_A-_0_435_EW.ftf file inside "Firmwares" folder

click on X10FlashTool

click on Flash (it's a button)

Press Ok

it will ask you to connect your phone on Flashmode (turn off your phone, press the back button, then connect the USB) press OK

just remember pinch zoom won't work on mediascape, only if you use

They were supposed to be included with android but Sony Ericsson removed them so there wouldn't be competition to their Mediascape (remember you get PINCH ZOOM on the pictures using the gallery app)
