No response after part 2 of the updating process...

I'm trying to update to JellyBean with the PC companion, but the program keeps stalling after the '2. Preparing PC' stage. 
Instructions are to unplug phone from USB, then power off, then plug back in while holding the 'volume down' button.  After doing this there is no response.

sometimes the driver in your pc is not installed..thats why the flash mode doesn't respond..

Same thing happened to me. I didn't spend time on that and went for a direct update from phone which was much easier.

the phone itself shows no updates.  My carrier may not provide updates over the air??

just install PCC > restart your PC > disable your firewall and antivirus > turn off your phone > press and hold volume down then while holding volume down connect the usb cable > do not release the button and wait, your PC should find the drivers.

I reinstalled the PPC and it worked.  Thanks for the help!
