hi,

i want to purchase an unlocked xperia tl in us.  is the full price xperia tl on sony store unlocked?

as you can see it has the at&t logo, it's not unlocked, but its contract free or locked to a contract.

so i can not use it in europe with local gsm providers sim cards? is it true?

you could unlock it and then you will be able to use any SIM card, you can contact AT&T, why don't you buy the Xperia T, that should be unlocked, the TL is the same but with 4G LTE that it's not compatible with 4G LTE in Europe

If you want an unlocked phone get the T, not the TL.  T also supports bootloader unlock while the TL does not

there is no xperia t on sony store in us. only on amazon.com but i dont prefer to buy by amazon.com. is it possible to unlock it by contacting at&t?

you can contact Sony and tell them that you are going to travel abroad, so you need to be able to use other SIM cards, if not then

Personally gonna pass on non-sdcard phones with 16gb internal storage.. Already did that with the HTC one S and if you backup your rom with stuff like Titanium backup, cwm, and store media you run out of space way too easily...

I agree, but I've used up all my Xperia S's memory with pictures, I don't care about music as I have google music (you can store up to 20,000 songs free)
