Is 4.0.2.A.62 still offered Over The Air for us rooting-fans now that ICS has been released?

Yes it's still offered

You may face problem if you modify your firmware ( Root, flashing different firmwares etc )

No, not yet. I am considering to downgrade to 2.3.4 again since ICS feels slower. But since i don't want to flash and reflash again i was hoping that a Sony official could enlighten me before i molest my phones firmware. Winking_Face

you could create a  backup of your current firmware and then flash away, but as of right now there isn't an official statement as to if the 2011 Xperias will get any further updates

if you want to downgrade, or backup your firmware or debrand
