Volume key cuz crash

Have a m5 single simcard 

Received brand new 

April 2016.

No new apps or settings done recently.past three days, system ui stop if press volume key. Please assist?

Hi @SonyM5jhb, welcome to our forum and I'm sorry to hear about this.

Is it the same if you lower the volume or does it only occur when raising the volume in your device?

If you go to Settings > Apps > cogwheel > Overlay on other apps > 3 dots > Show system > System UI, is this turned on or off? If it's turned off, enable it and see if you there has been any change!
