Hello everyone, I have upgraded my m2 to lollipop and all was right until yesterday when I used here maps. I set my destination and GPS found my position, but after a bit it lost signal, and after a bit it found me, after a bit it lost me, etc..... I tried with Google maps but it was the same, I tried this morning and same as yesterday... I am the only one with this issue?

I have GPS issues too, it seems to reset after a few seconds. After googling this problem it seems to be an issue with Android 5.x itself as it is manifesting across many different hardware platforms. Google have this as a high priority:

Yes, something wrong with GPS.

It's off.

Nothing good about Lollipop, battery draining, GPS off, Wi-Fi, camera, and so on and on and on and on....

thought about downgrading Kitkat if possible but I don't want to take unnecessary risk anymore....

What I hope now is that SONY will provide fix soon as possible.

Very bad indeed. I don't think there is much that Sony can do though, unfortunately. We can only hope that Google fixes 5.x and Sony can incorporate the fix into an OTA update.

I have the same problem with GPS. PC Companion repair not helped.

Why Sony released an update which messed up our phones ?

Nothing but trouble with this phone !

I have had similar problems with GPS with 5.1.1 on my M2. It seems to be intermittent in that apps do occasionally get access to the GPS device but only occasionally. For me some apps such as Waze are still usable because it'll use assisted GPS and triangulation estimates to guess your current location. I'm sure a fix will appear in due course. I'm quite happy with many of the other new features of the upgrade. But I do hope they solve this one soon as its annoying if you travel and use GPS a lot.

I have a fix for 3 seconds then it drops and has to refix, this takes in excess of 20 seconds. I then have a fix for 3 seconds until it drops and has to refix....

GPS is effectively unusable, I need the option to downgrade...

I have downgraded my phone this morning to KitKat 4.4.2 firmware version 18.3.C.0.40.

I suppose this version does not contain the accelerometer bug.

Until now, it's working ok.

You will find it if search google with D2303_18.3.C.0.40_CE.ftf (Central Europe).

You will flash with FlashTool. You must tick WIPE USER DATA (make a backup first) to avoid boot problems.

No need to root or unlock.

You can always revert to official version from your operator (Flashtool with Xperifirm integrated will search the current version from your operator).

I hope that we will forget GPS, WIFI, camera, accelerometer, battery drain, ring volume, or other bugs that Google and Sony served to us to force us to buy new phones. I have only problems from the first moment that I bought this phone and it is clear that the situation get worse. Only solution is to downgrade to a version that was behave normally.
