USB not detected in HT ct390

I bought HT ct390 Sony sound bar. I want to play music through pen drive but pen drive is not being detected in sound bar.

I am not talking about USB cable but about memory stick. There is a USB port where I should use memory stick to play song. But the Sony bar does not recognize any memory stick.
