These have become like 'Rocking Horse Droppings' according to Waterstones, WHsmith and other suppliers. The story goes that there is a 'new model soon to be launched'. How true that is, I dont know. Has anyone else heard this? (UK supplies)
All you can do is trawl the shops and see if you can get an ex-demo one. Beware of eBay sellers, there are lots of dodgy ones there.
Its the same for a half decent case now.
It took 6 weeks, a few bits of local knowledge and 200 mile trip to get a replacement for 1 that 'gave its life', saving my 650 from damage!
Good hunting

When my husband and I purchased our EReaders in May, this year, the assistant at Waterstones told us that the PRS350 and PRS650 were being discontinued because Sony were launching a new model.
We're in the north of England, so it sounds like a consistent story (unless you wandered into the same store as us!)
We're betting (not a lot) that the new model will be a wi-fi/3G model, as we think Sony has to respond to Kindle's market leading share of E-Readers. Judging by some of the postings on this forum, they should improve customer service before bringing a more complex product on to the market!
Cheers

Sony, & Pottermore
to learn a lot.
Also visit http://www.sony.co.uk/discussions/community/en/community/reading to learn/find out an awful lot more, plus comments and info.......
Might be some cheap ("old generation" ) readers around soonish, but that's just a suspicion ..........

Look up the Sony PRS T-1 which one presumes is the Potter device as well.
I just hope we get it at the same time as the US ?
