I have the above ereader and have been using it to download ebooks from my local UK library for some time.
The library have just changed (Sept 2019) to using RBdigital and Adobe Digital Editions. I have downloaded ADE, created accounts for both RB and ADE and have managed to download ebooks to my laptop.
(I, also, used to be able to access the ebooks via the library website, from my ereader and download direct.)
First, the RBdigital website does not come up when I search on the ereader for it, so I cannot download direct.
When I try to drag or copy the downloaded ebooks from my laptop to the (connected) ereader the ebooks look like they have been copied across, but when I disconnect the ereader, they are not there!
Can anyone help please? I do not want to have to buy a new ereader!! I love my Sony PRS T2!!
Gelöst! Gehe zu Lösung.
Okay, thanks for all replies. Will have to recycle the old ereader and get a new one.
Hi there,
Welcome to the community.
We will look into this and let you know what we find as soon as possible.
Until then, maybe someone in the community will have some advice for you.
Best wishes,

Hi Loubylou19,
Do you have Reader for PC installed? It can be downloaded using this link: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/reader-digital-book-prs-t-series/prs-t2/downloads/Z000557...
Cheers,

Hi, thank you for reply.
As I said had been using my ereader no probs, until the library changed its system to rbdigitalglobal.
Do you mean I have to download the Reader for PC onto the ereader now? Why is that?
Many thanks
Hi Loubylou19
I think what @The_Black_Rose is trying to say here is that you should make sure that you copy the files using Reader for PC because as far as I can see, this is the only official way Sony recommends that you transfer eBooks to your reader.

Thank you Win_88 for clarifying that! I will try and get back to the forum community!
Very good post
Don't know if anyone can now help........as previous post, have a Sony PRS t2 ereader (very old!). Have recently tried connecting to (a new laptop) and ereader is not recognised! Have tried all sort of things, none of which seem to work (ie different leads, opening in different way). Seems the laptop does not recognise the ereader. Can I resolve this?
Also, now cannot get onto the library website to download books!! They have changed to overdrive and can't seem to get it at all! Have tried resetting ereader, now have no books and can't download new ones!
I love the ereader, but wonder if the technology is now so out of date, that I need a new one?
Any advice please?
Also, what is good economical replacement, don't want to go the Amazon route?
Apologies for all the questions!
Many thanks for looking.
Hey there,
What's the operating system you're using?
Also, do you get any notification that a USB device has been plugged? Or, it won't even recognize that something has been connected at all?
Cheers.
Hi, using windows 10, and no, doesn't recognise USB, comes up with error message 43, indicating software is out of date........
