PRS-T1 update

My computer gets stuck every time I start the Reader (for PC) software, because I get a message about an update, and it doesn't matter if I chose "yes" or "no", everything stands still and nothing happens anymore until I have to force close the programme. Any idea on how to solve this problem? I've just bought my e-reader, and I haven't been able to download any e-book yet. It's very frustrating ...

Have you tried uninstalling and starting again ?

And a reset ?
