Locked focus on LCD screen message

Hi, I wonder if someone can help me please. When I’m using wide setting for my focus mode, (RX10 m4) occasionally the screen will be”locked” and a little grey box appears which I can only get rid of by pressing the centre button.  Can someone direct me to the correct menu to stop this happening.  Thank you.

Hey @Broadwaygirl, how do you enable the wide setting? And when did the problem start? Have you tried removing the battery, reinserting it and trying again? Also, what software version do you have on your camera?
