Tv remote beacon

I couldnt find my remote the other day and as I was nearing high levels of frustration, a thought or an idea came to my mind.

Can someone please explain why we dont have remote locator beacon buttons on our television sets?

Imagine losing your tv remote and only having to walk to your tv and push a button whereby the remote then beebs or plays a tune allowing for an easy find.

Sony please take this to your r&d department surely they can work with this.

Not exactly what I had in mind. I mean a button built into the tv to locate your remote without having to buy additional 3rd party hardware. 

The locator receiver should be built into the remote as standard ie not added to.
