Hi @Melbentham

It’s difficult to keep up with Sony model codes but generally 43XFxxyyZU where 43 = Size in inches, X = 4K, F = Year 2018, xx = hierarchy in range, higher the number better the spec and yy = mainly cosmetics colour etc. Z = B(Black) or S(Silver), U = UK plug.

Top of the range for 2018 43 inch = KD-43XF8796BU or KD-43XF8577SU. Motionflow XR 1000 Hz.

Followed by KD-43XF8505 (same price but Motionflow XR 800 Hz).

This close to the end of the year you could consider waiting for the 2019 models XG but you risk Sony not producing such a small TV   Also once the XG models hit the shops the XF models will drop in price.

Hi @Melbentham.

KD-43XF8796 in (). The KD-43XF8096 is a much lower spec. Motionflow XR 400 Hz (1000 Hz), 8 bit + FRC = 10 bit (true 10 bit), vert freq 60 Hz (120 Hz), no picture processor (X1). I wouldn’t be surprised to find the sound quality is not so good on the XF80.

Note if you buy from a respectable local retailer you can get a free 5 year warranty and probably save £100.

Thank you for your reply again.

I think I will go for the 43 inch at curry's

KDXF8976 unless you think there is a better 43 inch sony?

If not I thank you for your help.. And now I need a sound bar.

Regards

That XF came out in March 2018, according to Amazon.

It may be the end of 2018 in a couple of days, but the XG is likely still 3 months away.
