Sony bravia KDL-43W809C

Hello everyone

I have just purchased my first Sony TV which is the model in the title and am very impressed with the way it looks and preformed in the store but having got it home the picture is nowhere near as good and the sound continually stops working so I have to do a hard reset which is far from ideal,I can't find any info on the best settings with this model also I can't find any reviews either which has me slightly worried,any help would be very much gratefully received.

In addition to the link above, which has some great tips, you should also see how you are connecting your source to the TV. 

If you have a SKY , Virgin or BT box then you make sure it is connected with a proper good HDMI cable (and not the cheap £2 ones from ebay) 

if you are only watching freeview channels via an arial cable then you should check out the link or experiement a bit with the colours or change the different modes for example Vivid mode and adjusting the brightness to that

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER.

ONLY USE THE SETTINGS BELOW FOR WATCHING TV. (I don't know about Gaming).

My settings for watching TV. 

picture VIVID. 

Turn off auto light sensor - awful feature which makes everything super dark. 

In advanced:

brightness (47). 

Contrast (88). 

Gamma (1). 

Black (50).

Darkness enhancer (HIGH). 

Adv. contrast setting (OFF). 

In Colour set to (60) and Natural. Turn off live colour. 

In Clarity set to (70) and Manual Resolution to (80). 

Turn everything else to OFF ( noise, etc). 

Turn Motion And Film mode to (OFF).
