I had a Panasonic TV and Panasonic Blueray HDD TV recorder DMR-BW750 interconnected with VIERA LINK. Repalced TV with new Android UHD TV and connected with HDMI cable. Recorder kept switching itself off. Sony customer service tried to help no solution.
I connected Sony TV via old style Audio Video cable so I was able to access Panasonic recorders setup settings. Switched OFF VEIRA LINK.
New Sony TV now works fine with Panasonic recorder using HDMI cable.
CONCLUSION YOU HAVE TO TURN OFF VIERA LINK ON PANASONIC MACHINE FOR IT TO WORK WITH SONY TV
