KD65AF8 Losing internet connection
My new Sony Bravia KD65AF8 loses its internet connection to my home network (via wifi) on a regular basis and sometimes in the middle of viewing a programme via an app, such as BBC iPlayer, which is so frustrating. My connected Virgin V6 box has no such issues on the same network and will play the same app with no problem. Any suggestions to help. I have a 200 mbps line.

Hi eccles01,
I guess you can try first to update the software using this link: https://bit.ly/2O7xHB1. If the software is updated and the internet still drops, try to reset the TV to factory settings from Home - Settings - Storage and Reset - Factory Settings.
Hope this Helps,

Reset the TV, still loses connection about an hour into a programme (particularly Netflix or BBC iPlayer). Have to disable WiFi, switch TV off and on and re-enable WiFi and enter network password to restore connection. Very frustrating.

Hi I am having the same problem I have a KD-43XE8005 and I keep losing Internet connection. It happens both when connected via Ethernet & WIFI.
I am hoping that someone is able to help. I've tried factory reset but it still happens. I've had my router monitored and it is not dropping out so the problem is clearly with the TV.

Two main things to check:
- check where your tv get the actual time: if it gets disaligned google drop the connection. You may prefer to set it manually.
- try disabling IPv6 on your router, it may create some problem

Hi Minger9851,
Got this sorted in the end. Sony gave me a link to an updated firmware. Had to download it on my pc then transfer it onto a USB memory stick, plugged it in the TV USB socket and follow instructions. Here's the link:-
