KD-49x8305c Red flashing light

Recently i have purchased a KD-49x8305c Model tv second hand, I've then installed the TV in my home and was watching films on the TV, When around an hour into it, It turns itself off with a flashing red light which blinks maybe 3-4 times. I rung the guy and got no answer and he texted me claiming he never had that problem and said Merry christmas and blocked my number. Is this problem fixable? As i unplugged it for a minute turned it on *red light* Unplugged it from the mains for 5 minutes *red light* Factory reset the whole Tv 2 hours later *Red light* Please if anyone know how to fix this id be very greatful.

It turns itself off flashes red 3-4 times and repeats the cycle, Will not let me turn the tv back on until i unplug it from the mains and re plug it in.

Hi @xlMrWelsh. If a factory reset doesn’t fix it I’m afraid there may be an expensive problem. No doubt the repair will cost you more than you paid for it in the first place. If you bought it from an auction site then perhaps time to open up a dispute to get your money back.

A quick google (no idea if this is correct) http://monitor.espec.ws/files/sony_blink_codes_203.pdf

To get an accurate diagnosis I would call Sony Support https://services.sony.co.uk/supportmvc/en/Contact/Email?pdp=kd-49x8305c&cat=lcd-tvs-android-x83xxc-s...
