Hi
BBC have announced that all episodes of Blue Planet 2 will be available on their iplayer platform in 4K HDR after this Sundays episode:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/help/latest-news/blue-planet-II-uhd
None of the XE9005 TVs are listed as being compatible to receive these broadcasts. Can someone please let me know if this is the case?
I don't see why they would not be considering they have all received the HLG update.
Thanks
For an unknown reason which Sony, the BBC and Google are not telling us none of the Sony 2017 Android TVs support HLG iPlayer 4K streams. A few people have been in direct contact with Sony about it but, so far very little info.
Well they have literally a few days to sort it out, or egg will be on face.
Its quite embarassing for sony that the vestel brands are all supported but not their own top end sets.
Well Sony are supported, only if you have an XE70! It makes Sony look bad in my opinion too though as they should be working hard to bring it to the entire range.
Very embarrassing. I have contacted Sony and await their response.
As things stand a Techwood TV may have been preferable!
Please let us know if you get any response!
Sonys Marketing of its flagship TV's vs real life
Did anyone see any further news?
come on Sony, google/Android tv, you-view and bbc
Loads of updates.
Sony say the TV has is ready to receive Blue Planet in 4k and BBC are at fault. The BBC say that Sony are at fault and once again the consumer is done over!
