49XG9005 Oreo Update

Hi,

I just bought a brand new 49XG9005 and it won't update to Oreo. It says there is no update available? Why is that?

Hi there,

Sony sometimes either change the roll out plans or slow them down and it might just be that its not currently being rolled out to your specific TV serial. My XG9005 did update sometime ago.

If you want the latest update and cannot wait for it to be rolled out OTA then you can just download the file and do it yourself via USB.

The update worked using the an USB drive. One thing to remember is that the USB drive needs to be FAT32
