I am trying to play from the camera to the TV (Samsung) via HDMI.

When I connect the camera, a separate HDMI source opens on the tv which indicates that the device is recognised. But I do not get any picture or sound when replaying videos or pictures. I do have the correct cable!

Any ideas? Is there anything in the output settings I forgot?

Tried that all. No avail. The Sony manual is rather poorly written with little help if things don't work. I was thinking there is some hidden setting which controls the output.

I can't see anything wrong with that cable.

Did you try to deactivate the "CTRL FOR HDMI" (Control for HDMI)?

Also did you manually set the resolution to either 1080p or 1080i as test? It says on the helpguide, that you should do that, if with the Auto-Setting your display doesn't show anything.

Maybe it is the issue here...

It does, tested it with an onther device, no problem there.
