Hi all,
I have a son vaio vgn fs485b. A friend of mine gave it to me.
It was working great untill one day the actual power supply stoped working. Meaning that the motherboard was not getting any power when the notebook was connected to the power supply BUT it was working fine only with the battery installed.
Anyway I used it for a few hours and then the battery completelly died on me.
I bought another motherboard exactly the same as the old one. Put everything together just fine but when i powered it up , although the motherbard was getting power from the power supply the screen would not turn on!! And the battery icon/indicator on the front of the notebook is constantly flashing in this manner blink-blink 1 second goes and blink blink again. I can hear the hard drive working all the light turn on but nothing else!!
For the life of me I just dont understand whats going on. The motherboard seems to be fine , but maybe the actual screen connector to the motherboard is faulty?
Any sugestions?
