hi!
i got a vgn-ar11m notebook with geforce go 7600 graphic card. according to online tests of that card it should be able to run oblivion. unfortunately i can not play it in a fluid way, even if i choose the worse settings. it gets sooo slow, and if there are more than 1 enemy on the screen it almost stops. i wonder, because far cry runs soo good. what could be the problem? is it necessery to download some newer driver for it? and if yes, could someone give me a link? i already checked the nvidia homepage, but they just wrote, that the drivers for the mobile card should be provided by the notebook producer. or do i need to change some hardware settings?
cheers

Hey,
I think your issue may be drivers, as my 6400 TurboCache in my Vaio VGN FS415m runs Oblivion in Medium/Low @ 1280 x 800
not brilliant but your GFX has alot more grunt so should handle High!
As for the drivers;
Tweak R us
This is a direct link to the latest Mobile force drivers, please note when installing them to do the following;
1. Uninstall current nVidia Drivers
2. Restart
3. Install new Drivers
4. Restart
5. Enjoy Oblivion!!
Regards
thanks a lot! i'll try it!

just wondering, why nvidia and sony both don't offer drivers themselves..
They do but they are toned down from Sony.
so finally i downloaded and instaleld the driver.
it is called: XTreme-G MobileForce 91.47-v2.50e
i see a different user interface, but, to be honest, i didn't recognize any big performance enhancement. so what can be the problem? is the vgn-ar11m or the grafic card just too slow to handle oblivion?is the game not made for working well with core duo cpus? or is there anything else i could change?
i would be very thankful if someone could recommend any solution to me..
