The screen hook of Vaio FS115Z was broken after two week !!! Poor Thing

So, I just buy my cute Vaio FS115Z for a while (28 Marc 2005). The litte right hook of screen was broken easily, You know ,just like the wind I close my notebook. I think the contact of screen cause the problem. How can I do now ?

Second question : I made the backup DVD for my Vaio , but I can open to see what is inside( when I open with explorer , there is a massage "Not accessible" ). It always like this or I have a problem with my backup DVD ?

You are not the only person with a broken latch. There have been quite a few threads concerning this issue already. Sony have obviously messed up with this one.

Get in touch with Sony as soon as possible. Contact numbers can be found here .

Not sure about your DVD problem. Have you had a look for any updates or patches on Vaio-Link?

Also, what type of DVDs and burning software are you using?

Yeah, it's unbelieveable. It's clearly a design or materials fault. Let's just hope, for the sake of the FS owners, that Sony will hold their hands up and offer a recall.

Don't anyone hold their breath in the meantime though.

Well it ought to be a recall, buzzing screens, broken latches and suspect optical drives are nasty but easily preventable faults.
