Overheat of Vaio-VGN-A117S

Hi.....!! I buy Sony Vaio A117S 3 Month Ago. My Problem is Overheat of Graphic Processor Unit, that is Ati Mobility Radeon 9700. When play from 1 at 2 hour netgame, the notebook crashed and sometimes graphic image glitches. For resolve this crash i can turn off (HARD) from switch bottom. What is the solution of this problem.......??? Please Help Me......!!! Sorry for my bad English but i am Japanese/Italian. Lol:smileyhappy:

Hi,

you're experiencing a common sony issue with regards to their laptops overheating..

Im not quite sure how you've identified that its the actualy GPU overheating but anyways..go here..

Hi

this is strange... I play Doom3 (which is the most demandind game right now) and face no overheat problem...

after 3 hours my hdd goes to 49/50°C and my cpu to 42°C...

of course I have change the driver of my mobility 9600 into bêta version and I have unzip all files of the game... as before I was facing freezing screen...

strange strange that you overheat !

anyone who knows a good but FREE soft for getting temperature on his notebook... (type Hardware Sensor Monitor) please tell me !!!

need to find a simple one...

theres only a temp center for the HD and CPU as far as i know and theres a link to it in this thread. However it looks like u already know how to measure those temps

you may come accross motherboard monitor, but it doesnt support a majority of sony motherboards
