Memory stick for recovery

Hi,

Have just bought a netbook VPCM13M1E which doesn't have a disk drive. Have tried creating recovery files onto memory stick (Sandisk 16gb) but computer says it can't find an optical device. What am I doing wrong please?

Hi Mike,

Looking at the Recovery Guide for your model, it looks like you MUST use an external USB Optical DVD drive to create Recovery Media.

Blencogo is correct you'll need to use an external CD/DVD drive to create a set of recovery discs 😞
