I have a VPCEB3M1E, bought in April. The fan is going all the time, and it's so loud it's driving me crazy! What's even worse is the high frequency sound that's there all the time as well, and even worse when on battery. It's really unbearable when I can hear it across the room with the TV on.
What can be done about this? The noise has to stop or I will have to buy a new lap top. And it won't be one from Sony, that's for sure! I've had several computers over the years, and none of them has ever come close to this unbelieve noise. 😞 I feel totally swindled having bought this when friends with much cheaper lap tops have absolutely no trouble with theirs.
I have tried reduced processor speed, Vaio care, Vaio update and all the other 'tricks', but nothing works.

Hi ariasonata,
As your Vaio is still within Warranty, have you tried talking to Vaio Support about this?
Hello 🙂
It is within Warranty yes, but have not yet talked to Sony about this. I have talked to the online store where I purchased it, but seeing as I need my lap top on a daily basis I am hesitant to send it off to be fixed, if that is at all possible. That's why I am looking for a simpler solution, something I can do myself.
