Cursor Jumping

When entering text, Open Office, Thunderbird etc, cursor jumps back one or more lines.  Appears to happen after keying in c, but not sure it there are other letters, or combinations that trigger it.  Any ideas on what might be causing this?  Using a Vaio VPCEC1S1E, Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1.  (happened after typing c in Pack)

I would have a word with Vaio Support.

As the problem happens when you touch the bottom of the keyboard, it sounds to me like a physical fault with the palmrest flexing a bit and this is triggering a false mouse click in the touchpad.

Have you tried 'turning off Tapping when Typing' in Mouse Properties or turning off some of the fancy touchpad properties in Control Panel -> Vaio Control Centre?  I doubt if these will help - but you never know.

Many thanks.  Tapping was already turned off, but I have invalidated tapping in the corner and multitouch functions.  Did a quick test in Thunderbird and this reply has been fine.  So, it might have fixed it.

Great help: thanks.
