Hi,
My current notebook is a Sony VAIO PCG-K115M and the DVD drive is Read only, however it's also a CD writer drive.
Is it possible to replace this internal drive with a DVD Writer instead? Do they yet exist or do i have to go external?
Many Thanks

Some screw on.:smileywink:
Some models of the K115Z have the Pioneer drive:
Pioneer DVR-K12DVA so this ought to overcome any problems with the case.
If you wish to verify this look here then go down and open optical drive. There you will see the firmware update for the Pioneer as well as the Matshita UJDA-750 which is what I have.
I hope this helps, welcome to Club Vaio
LOL James, some clip on
Some slide a little to left and a little to the right,
Some like to be pulled off.
Some have to be snapped off
Some have to be persuaded
Some covers are stubborn and have to be cut off!
Hmm, I want one like that...:smileydevil:
LOL
Yeah me too!:smileylaugh:
