KDL37W5810 - Lovefilm, Youtube widgets

Hello,

I brought SOny KDL37W5810 towards end of May and that time, there are no widgets in applicats to watch youtube and Lovefilm. I am not sure if there is any s/w upgrade available to access internet and the above mentioned widgets ?

Otherwise, the products becoming obsolete within months and it pains having brought the products at such a cost.

Any help is appreciated!

Regards

Prasanna

Hi Prasanna

Welcome to the boards. With regards to Web access, different generations of products have  differing feature sets as far as apps goes. 2010 devices have  newer silicon which facilitates services like Lovefilm. Its impossible to upgrade older devices as they were built before the newer  platforms were conceived and built into newer products.

Your device is one of the 2009 models and unfortunately isn't compatible with the new services, but its far from obselete as its still a great panel - the easiest way to gain the  functionality is to get one of the 2010 Blu-ray players such as the  BDP-S370 or SMP - N100 netboxes as they also feature the technology.

Thanks
